Mr. Markus was born in 1967 in Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. He grew up in West Orange, attending college in the state before law school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He then became a child medical malpractice attorney.

 

Mr. Markus suffered chronic asthma, seasonal allergies and respiratory problems as a child. He went to his pediatrician for allergy shots. He had sinus conditions, ear infections, and nose and throat colds or flus like other sick children.

 

His trips to the doctor left him fond of doctor pediatrician Leon Small, M.D. Dr. Small remained his doctor and friend many years in NJ. Mr. Markus respects pediatricians and physicians he knows over the years, and enjoys children.
